Lifecycle assessment – Textile PET
We have a textile manufacturing client who asked us to provide a statement about whether virgin or recycled PET used in textiles is more environmentally favourable.
A textile manufacturer had to deal with customer requests about whether recycled PET really is more environmentally friendly than virgin PET.
A comparison of their impacts in many categories like climate change, water consumption, toxicity and land use clearly showed that the recycled PET is favourable in nearly all impact categories.
